This President’s Day, University president Fr Bobby Yap SJ invites the Ateneo de Manila community to take time to relax and refocus. “President’s Day is all about taking time to rest, relax, and be thankful. After a whirlwind year that was 2020, we can’t help but feel more grateful for our health, work, and the relationships that we’ve built. “ In his message, Fr Bobby also expresses his gratitude to students, faculty, staff, and alumni who have risen to the challenge in this unrepresented and challenging situation. An example he cites is Tulong Sulong, the livelihood and employment program launched during the 2020 Grand Alumni Homecoming. “It aims to transform marginalized communities by providing them with capacity building training to increase their skills, knowledge, and resources and jumpstart their entrepreneurship education,” he says.
