Admission Policies

Admission to Grade 7
 
The Ateneo Junior High School, an exclusive school for boys administered by the Society of Jesus, is a Filipino, Catholic college-preparatory high school with programs designed for the above-average student. The Junior High School, comprising Grades 7 to 10, was established in school year 2013-2014 in line with the necessary transitions in support of the K-12 Reform. An applicant for Grade 7 at the Ateneo Junior High School must be a member of his school’s Grade 6 batch at the time of application. While no minimum grade is required of grade 7 applicants, the student must not have any failing grades and must have good deportment records. For acceptance to Grade 7, the student applicant must make the required cut-off score in the entrance test. The applicant may be called for a personal interview after the examinations. An applicant may take the entrance test for Grade 7 only once.
 
Transfer Application to Grade 8
 
A limited number of applicants are also admitted to Grade 8 as transferees. Grade 8 transferees must be members of their school’s Grade 7 batch at the time of their application. No minimum grade is required of grade 8 applicants. However, applicants must not have any failing grades and must have good deportment records. Information on transfer application to Grade 8 will be available by the end of March 2017.

The Admission Application form, Personal Information Sheet, and Application Requirements and Procedures may be downloaded from this page. Print all pages of the form on size A4 bond paper and accomplish the form completely in your own handwriting. Please write legibly.
 
The last day for filing of application forms with complete requirements at the Ateneo High School Office of Admission and Aid on is 30 September 2016 at 12:00 NN.

Applicants will be notified by mail of the decision on their application on or before 31 January 2017. Please update the office of any changes in your mailing address and contact numbers. Results will not be released over the telephone. Should you have further inquiries, please call the Ateneo High School Office of Admission and Aid at 4266001 local 6291 or 6292. Confirmation of Intent to Enroll
 
Accepted applicants have to inform the Ateneo Junior High School of their intention to pursue their application by submitting the Intent to Enroll form enclosed with the acceptance letter and paying the Confirmation Fee of Php10,000.00 within the period indicated so slots can be reserved for them. Non-submission of the form will be interpreted as a withdrawal of the application. The deadline for the submission of Intent to Enroll form and payment of the Confirmation Fee is on 17 February 2017 at 3:00PM.

Scholarship and Financial Aid
 
The Ateneo de Manila Junior High School offers a limited number of scholarship grants and grants-in-aid to deserving but financially challenged students. Scholars and recipients of financial aid are expected to do well in their academics and to be role models to others in terms of deportment. Students accepted on probation are disqualified from applying for such provision.
 
The Financial Aid Application Form and supporting documents must be submitted together with the Admission Application Form. Application forms with incomplete requirements will not be processed. You may download the Financial Aid Application Form from this page as well.
