After transferring from David Hall to the Pre-fab classrooms, the Grade 9 batch has finally found a home in the AJHS campus. And what better way to celebrate this than with the tradition of a Batch Night in their new home?
Called “Dynamis,” the Grade 9 Batch Night was held from March 10-11 at the AHS Track and Field Oval and Montserrat Wing. Meant to strengthen bonds among classmates and friends, the event featured teambuilding activities such as tug-o-war and dragon tail.

An ode to the students’ memories of Mr. Batch Night was Mr. Dynamis, a segment where student representatives from each section displayed both talent and wit. Paolo Lukban (M9-Goupil) and Miguel Sahali (M9-Gonzalez) were the first and second runners-up, respectively, and Joaquin Jaymalin (C9-Gonzaga) won as Mr. Dynamis. Joaquin Jaymalin (C9-Gonzaga) won as Mr. Dynamis

After a night of fun and bonding, the Grade 9 boys gathered at the Montserrat Wing for a morning prayer led by Ajem de Leon (M9-Goupil). This was followed by a reflection inspired by the identity and journey of their batch. The reflection was given by Batch Representative and incoming Sanggu-JHS Chairman, Josh Diano (M9-Garnier) and was followed by a consciousness examen. The boys took this opportunity to look back at their Grade 9 experience and give thanks, as well as look forward to the summer that lay ahead of them.
