Ateneo Junior High School swimmer Wacky Santos (Cardoner/10-Berthieu) took home four medals from Palarong Pambansa 2017 last April. He won a gold medal for the 800m freestyle, two silvers for the 200m butterfly and 4x50m freestyle relay, and a bronze medal for the 200m backstroke.

Palarong Pambansa was held in Antique from April 23 - 29, 2017.

Wacky Santos is one of the most bemedalled swimmers of the AJHS. He is the current UAAP record holder for the boys' 400m individual medley. He also represented the Philippines in the South East Asian Age Group Swimming Championships held in Bangkok, Thailand last December, winning a bronze medal in the 200m individual medley.

At the AJHS Recognition Day ceremony held last February 23, Wacky was one of only 15 students who received the award for distinguished individual achievement.
