GS ‘67 Golden Jubilarians Kick off Year-long Celebration
The grade school Class of ‘67 marked its 50th anniversary out of primary school with a grand reunion last February 17 at the Manila Polo Club in Makati. This was followed, two days after, with a thanksgiving Mass at the grade school chapel and lunch at the cafeteria.
With more than 150 classmates in attendance, some coming back home from the US, Europe, Africa, Canada and Australia, the reunion brought back fond memories of their boyhood adventures and mischief. Joining them were their grade school, high school and college mentors such as Patria Aranas, Magdalena Badua, Wally Belen, Becky Sanosa, Fr. Bill Kreutz, SJ, Irma Potenciano, Anita Rilloraza and Ditas Rivera.
The celebration, according to committee chair Boy Favis, will be sustained throughout the year with out-of-town field trips, golf tournaments and charitable activities such as feeding programs for orphans, classroom rehabilitation for the less fortunate schoolchildren, catechism classes for kids as well as football training and scholarships for children residing in the New Bilibid Prison compound.
Dubbed as the King of the Blues (KOB), the classes of GS‘67, HS ‘71 and College ‘75 take pride in their solidarity and unity of purpose.

Jun Bayot accepts Class of 67’s token of appreciation for sponsoring and hosting the Golden Jubilee reunion at Manila Polo Club as Benjie Guevara and Boy Favis look on.
