The Ateneo Law School invites everyone to this year's ALS Legal Ethics Symposium entitled "Panatang Makabayan: Tungkulin ba ng Abogado na Ibigin ang Pilipinas?" to be held on Friday, May 17, 2019 at the B1 Auditorium, Ateneo Professional Schools, Rockwell, Makati City, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 n.n. Former Ombudsman and Supreme Court Associate Justice Conchita Carpio-Morales will share her views on the role that love of country and nationalism play in the Filipino lawyer's legal ethics and professional responsibility. 

 
The ALS Legal Ethics Symposium is an annual forum for discussing current and emerging issues in legal ethics. Over the past  five (5) years, the symposium has tackled the problem of ethical failures in the profession, corruption in public service, ethical challenges in the judiciary and private sector, legal ethics in the time of social media, and how to make better ethical choices. This year's symposium is co-sponsored by ALS Block 2021-A, the Teehankee Center, the Ateneo Society of International Law, and the Environmental Law Society of Ateneo.
