Nico Martin obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration from the University of the Philippines in 2010. He received his Juris Doctor Degree from the Ateneo de Manila University - School of Law in 2014 with a Dean's Lister distinction, and was admitted to the Philippine Bar the following year.
Atty. Martin's legal career began when he was invited by his mentor, Court of Appeals Associate Justice Maria Filomena D. Singh, to join her office immediately after taking the bar examinations. He was appointed to a law clerk position, and in less than a year, he was promoted as the Chief of Staff of the Office of Justice Singh.
Atty. Martin is a Special Lecturer of Public Accountability and Ethics at the Institute of Government and Law Reform of the University of the Philippines College of Law. He is also a Professorial Lecturer in several law schools, where he is able to mold young men and women in the principles of Constitutional and Remedial law.
