Biography: 
Ferdinand Negre chairs the Commercial Law and Intellectual Property Department. He has lectured in different universities, government agencies and international organizations including the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). He is a member of the Supreme Court Sub-Committee on Special Rules in IP Cases and was the Examiner for Mercantile Law in the 2014 Bar Examinations.
 
Ferdie is a Trustee and the President of the Licensing Executives Society of the Philippines. He is also a Founding Trustee and Vice-President of the Intellectual Property Professors and Researchers Organization of the Philippines, Inc.
 
He is a founding partner of Bengzon Negre Untalan Intellectual Property Attorneys. Past professional engagements include work with the then Bureau of Patents, Trademarks & Technology Transfer (now the Intellectual Property Office), first as a Trademark Examiner and then as a Hearing Officer. He also worked as a Hearing Officer at the Bureau of Trade Regulation and Consumer Protection of the Department of Trade and Industry.
 
Ferdie is a Certified Public Accountant and worked as an Auditor at SGV & Co. before taking up law.
