ASEAN and Regional Integration: Shared Spaces and Important Issues

On September 27 to 30, 2021, an online conference entitled “ASEAN and Regional Integration: Shared Spaces and Important Issues” will be held. Organized by Universidad de Málaga of Spain, the Ateneo de Manila University School of Law and the College of Law of the University of the Philippines, the forum is a component of the Erasmus supported Capacity Building for Legal and Social Advancement in the Philippines (CALESA) project participated in by a number of European and Philippine law schools as well as the Philippine Judicial Academy of the Supreme Court of the Republic of the Philippines.
 
The free of charge, four-day conference will feature presentations by academics from European universities and corresponding reactions from Philippine experts, on topics that cover processes of regional integration and governance, environment, security, gender equality, ocean governance and fisheries cooperation, geopolitics and human rights, all in the context of ASEAN and regional integration.  The conference format also incorporates an open forum that will enable an equally enlightening exchange of insightful thoughts.
