Competency-Based Selection Interview Workshop

The competency-based interview is an integral part of the selection process.  Through it, employers are able to ask questions that require candidates to demonstrate that they possess a particular skill or competency the organization is looking for.

In addition, competency-based interviews may look into career motivation and commitment by highlighting queries that probe candidates’ knowledge of the organization they are applying to.

This 1-day workshop is designed to equip HR professionals and line managers with competency-based interviewing skills. By the end of the program, participants should be able to:

1. Identify differences between recruitment and selection
2. Enumerate the various selection processes and tools
3. Explain and differentiate competencies
4. Formulate competency-based selection interview questions
5. Demonstrate effective competency-based selection interviewing skills utilizing the STAR technique
