The competency-based interview is an integral part of the selection process.  Through it, employers are able to ask questions that require candidates to demonstrate that they possess a particular skill or competency the organization is looking for.

In addition, competency-based interviews may look into career motivation and commitment by highlighting queries that probe candidates’ knowledge of the organization they are applying to.
