TWLS 08: Managing Cynicism and Resistance to Change using Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing is a collaborative, person-centered form of guiding to elicit and strengthen motivation for change (Miller, 2009). This kind of interviewing is focused on dealing with a person’s resistance to change. This Trendwatcher Learning Session contextualizes these principles and applies it to organizations and organizational change.
