Lomibao wins 2 silvers for PH at Singapore Math Global Tilt

Alphan Lomibao Representing the Philippines, Alphan Lomibao of 4-Diego Silang won two silver medals at the Singapore Math Global Team Competition held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from November 16-20, 2018. One silver was for the individual competition while the other was for the team competition. The Philippines was represented at the competition by a delegation of 15 mathletes. 

Prior to his departure for Malaysia, Alphan won a gold medal in the Southeast Asia Mathematics Olympiad (SEAMO) and another gold medal from the Mathematics Without Borders (MWB) Autumn Round. He was also awarded a High Distinction certificate by the University of New South Wales, Australia for the 2018 International Competitions and Assessments for Schools (ICAS) in the subject area of Mathematics. “High Distinction” translates to top 1% performance in comparison to other students who participated in the same year level in the Region.
