The Ateneo de Manila High School chess team placed second in three recent chess tournaments: the PRADA (Private Schools Athletic Development Association), PAYA (Philippine Athletic Youth Association), and JAM (Jesuit Athletic Meet). Besting choirs from ten other high schools, Ateneo de Manila High School’s Il Voce  was crowned champion of the Musikapella 2014 chorale competition on the night of November 29. In addition to bagging 1st place, Il Voce also won a P30,000 cash prize.
