Ateneo de Manila High School senior Anton Sison (4-N) emerged as one of the three winners of the club finals of the 12th Voice of Our Youth Impromptu Speaking Competition. The contest was held at the Quezon City Hall last October 20, 2012, with Philippine Daily Inquirer columnist Rina Jimenez-David serving as head judge.
Anton was declared one of the three winners after he delivered his talk on the topic, "What is the importance of the RH Bill to the youth, and what is your stand?" He will move on to the district finals on November 10 to be held again in the Quezon City Hall.
Also declared winners at the club finals were Nikki Lucenario and Mika Filoteo. Anton, Nikki and Mika will face the best impromptu speakers chosen from among the 37 participating Quezon City high schools at the district finals on November 10. The winner will then compete against the country's best high school speakers in the nationals, the winner of which will receive P50,000 in prize money.
