Ateneo HS is back-to-back champion of PAYA Taekwondo tournament!

The Ateneo de Manila High School Taekwondo Team successfully defended its Philippine Athletic Youth Association (PAYA) title, emerging as 2014 PAYA Taekwondo back-to-back champion in the high school division. Team AHS beat jins from Claret, Xavier, La Salle Greenhills, Diliman Preparatory School, Lourdes School of Quezon City, and De La Salle Zobel to clinch the championship in the matches held on Sunday, February 16 at the Ateneo Grade School covered courts.

The medal tally of the Ateneo High School jins is as follows:
 
Joel Felipe Alejandro (4C)- Gold
Niel Rafael Romero (2M)- Gold 

Khaim Isaiah Apostol (3L)- Silver
Francis Subido (3F)- Silver

John Rafael Crizaldo (2H)- Bronze
Rafael Angelo Cosca (2I)- Bronze
Micole Manolo Gabriel (1G)- Bronze
Angelo Bengzon (1L)- Bronze
 
Daniel Baysa (4L) and Juan Lorenzo Malonzo (4C) were finalists.

The head coach of the AHS Taekwondo Team is Jec Panotes, while Roel Borjal is the team’s assistant coach. Jeff Layug is the coach of the Ateneo Grade School Taekwondo Team. Jobet Morales is the program head of Ateneo Taekwondo.
