A conference on promoting social entrepreneurship
On October 19 and 20 the 6th National Social Entrepreneurship Conference on Social Enterprise and Policy: Enabling Inclusive Economies will be held at the Escaler Hall of Ateneo de Manila University. This conference is co-presented by the Ateneo Center for Social Entrepreneurship (ACSENT) at the John Gokongwei School of Management, the Philippine Social Enterprise Network and the Foundation for a Sustainable Society (FSSI), in collaboration with the Social Enterprise Development Partnerships Inc. (SEDPI) and the BPI Foundation.
Speakers at the conference include Ciel Habito, Economist and Professor, Dr. Eduardo Morato, Chairman of Bayan Academy, Director Jerry Clavesillas from the Department of Trade and Industry and Dean Rudy Ang of the Ateneo Graduate School of Business.
This conference aims to look at how public policy can support enterprises through – the promotion of social entrepreneurship, building of legal, regulatory and fiscal frameworks, provision of sustainable finance and the offer of business development services and support structures.
