Investigating Classroom Practices: Making Principled Decisions to Promote Meaningful Learning

Why are we doing what we’re doing? Why do we teach the way we do? Are we able to maximize student learning based on our current practices in the classroom? If we cannot answer these questions directly, honestly, and confidently, then doing an action research may help.

This workshop is designed to help teachers investigate practical issues in the classroom and hopefully make principled decisions to address them. The activities in this workshop aim to help participants become more reflective as teachers and more responsive to the needs of the students within their respective contexts.
