Ateneo Ideathon 2019

Workshop (March 5, 2019)

A pre-Ideathon workshop was conducted to introduce to the Ideathon participants the OneM2M server technology. The technical workshop included basic API calls, XML and JSON, and HTTP. The participants were able to perform basic OneM2M API calls in the workhshop.



Ideathon Day 1 (March 7, 2019)

Day 1 of the 2-day Ideathon was filled with ideation and mentoring. All 16 groups were able to come up with new ideas that cut across different IoT areas such as Logistics, Healthcare, Disaster Management, Smart Homes and Cities, Aquaculture and Agriculture.

Dr. Gregory Tangonan was the keynote speaker for the event. He provided insights for the IoT industry. His presentation can be downloaded here.


 Mr. Masatoshi Mano of the Technology Technology Committe of Japan, our sponsor, and Dr. Fitri of University of Malaysia-Sarawak, our partner university, were introduced in the opening remarks.


The students spent the rest of Day 1 for ideation and polishing their presentations.

Ideathon Awarding (April 8, 2019)

The seven shortlisted teams sent their final business models and were judged. Their previous scores were carried over to the second round. The top 3 winners are:
