Dr. Queena Lee-Chua, a full time professor at the Mathematics Department of the Ateneo's School of Science and Engineering (SOSE), won the Best Business Column Citation at the 38th Catholic Mass Media Awards (CMMA) held on Oct. 12, 2016 at the Star Theater in Pasay City.

Her column, "All in the Family," appears in the Philippine Daily Inquirer and was recognized for its positive values. She also won the same award last November 2015 during the 37th CMMA.

Under the Best Business Column Citation, CMMA searches for “a well-researched and honest analysis of economic developments” that challenges readers to have a balanced way of life.

Aside from teaching math, Dr. Lee-Chua also teaches at the Psychology Department. She has authored books and won a number of awards, including the Third World Academy of Sciences Regional Prize for Public Understanding of Science (2010), the Department of Science and Technology Men and Women of Science (2008) and Metrobank's Outstanding Teacher (2003).

CMMA is given by the Archdiocese of Manila. It was founded by then Archbishop Jaime Cardinal Sin to "pay tribute to media products that enhance the total human development of the Filipino audience through competent and professional use of mass media techniques."
