Viceo bags 4 bronze medals at UAAP 80 Fencing Tournament

Jolo Viceo photographed by Leo Lopez of Fabilioh With a medal haul of six bronze medals, Ateneo High School placed fourth in the boys’ division of the UAAP Season 80 fencing tournament, behind champion University of the East, first runner-up Far Eastern University, and second runner-up University of Santo Tomas. Winning bronze medals for Ateneo were the following:

Individual epee: Jian Bautista (11-Nakaura)
Individual saber: Jolo Viceo (12-Miki)
Individual foil: Jolo Viceo (12-Miki)

Saber Team: Enrico Suplico (M9-Lalemant), Jolo Viceo (12-Miki), Micko Guarin (Cardoner/10 Canisius), Polo Llagas (11-Torres)

With four bronze medals under his belt, Jolo Viceo was the best-performing Atenean in the boys' division of the UAAP Season 80 fencing tournament.  

Ateneo placed fourth overall in the UAAP Season 80 boys’ division, behind champion UE, second-placer FEU and third placer UST.

The UAAP Season 80 fencing tournament was held from February 7-11, 2018 at the National Fencing Hall of the Philsports Complex in Pasig City.
