Using a facial recognition tool, it will allow students to download academic material. NEWS | Guidelines for CCTV use in schools sought after online leaks

MANILA – The Department of Education (DepEd) are being asked to provide guidelines on the use of CCTVs in schools after a video was posted online showing teachers facing administrative complaints. This was raised during hearing on the implementation of the Magna Carta for Public Schools in the Senate. The Coordinating Council of Private Education Associations of the Philippines (COCOPEA) appealed strict observance of the law to prevent trial by publicity on such confidential matters. READ MORE

personal information from 1.1 million RedMart accounts for sale online 30 October 2020 SINGAPORE – A Lazada spokesperson has confirmed that the personal data from 1.1 million accounts from their online grocery service RedMart has been stolen and is being sold online. Names, phone numbers, and partial credit card numbers of the site’s users were illegally accessed from an old database system, no longer in use. READ MORE |
