3 AJHS math wizards are TIMO heat round awardees

AJHS mathletes Diego Bernardo of M7-Goto, Xavier Algenio of M7-Harcourt, and Jimbo Bernardo of L10-Garnier earned the bronze award, silver award and gold award- respectively- in the recent Thailand International Mathematics Olympiad (TIMO) 2019 Heat Round. The TIMO heat round was held last October 20, 2019 in the UP Institute of Civil Engineering Main Building. Because of their medal finishes in the heat round, Diego, Xavier, and Jimbo have all qualified to compete in the final round of the TIMO to be held in Thailand in April 2020. Thanks in part to the outstanding performance of these AJHS math wizards, TIMO-Philippines also named Ateneo de Manila University as one of TIMO’s Top Five Schools. Ateneo de Manila mathletes from the grade school, junior high school, and senior high school won a total of nine golds, eight silvers, and two bronzes in the heat round of the Thailand International Mathematics Olympiad (TIMO).
