Bernardo & Ong feted at ICAS Presentation Ceremony

At the International Competitions and Assessment for Schools (ICAS) Prize Presentation Ceremony held last December 8, 2017, Ateneo Junior High School students Dion Ong (Cardoner/10-Canisius) and Jimbo Bernardo (La Storta/8-Del Castillo) were feted for achievements in math and science. Ong was awarded the University of New South Wales (UNSW) medal and the medal winner certificate for the 2017 ICAS Mathematics. The UNSW is conferred to the top scorer in the subject for the year. Bernardo was awarded the High Distinction Certificate in ICAS Science 2017 for being in the top 1% in the subject for the year.

ICAS is an independent, skills-based assessment program run by the Educational Assessment Australia (EAA) for more than 30 years that recognizes and rewards student achievement. In 2017, there were close to a million ICAS participants from 14,500 schools in 20 countries.

The sitting dates for ICAS Mathematics and Science were on August 12, 2017 and May 27, 2017, respectively.
