Alphan Lomibao wins gold for PH in Future Mathematicians tilt

Recent Ateneo de Manila Grade School graduates Alphan Lomibao (6-Xavier), Rohan Herrera (6-Xavier), and Sieggy Cajucom (6-Bellarmine) won gold, silver, and bronze awards, respectively, in the Indonesia-based 2021 Challenge for the Future Mathematicians (CFM) competition, which was held online on April 17, 2021. Alphan, Rohan, and Sieggy competed in the grade 6 division and are among the math wizards who garnered 41 golds, 109 silvers, and 174 bronzes for the Philippines in CFM’s primary and high school divisions.

Established in 2014, the CFM is an annual competition that aims to exchange the latest mathematics-related information, initiatives and applications across the world. Its participating countries include Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
