Magnus Navarro is gold medalist and Outstanding Awardee of BBB Math Olympiad

Ateneo de Manila Grade School mathletes Magnus Navarro (6-Bellarmine), Zion Uy (6-Campion), and Sieggy Cajucom (6-Bellarmine) were among the Philippines’ best performing mathletes in the Primary 6 division of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area Big Bay Bei (BBB) Mathematical Olympiad Final Round. Leading them was Magnus, who won the 1st prize award and the Outstanding Award. Zion also won the 1st prize (gold) award, while Sieggy took the 3rd prize (bronze) award.

More than 930 mathletes from Bulgaria, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam joined the BBB final round, which was conducted online using  the Eklavvya platform on March 21, 2021. Of these 900+ participants, 134 were 1st prize/gold award-winners, 263 were second prize/silver award-winners, and 422 were third prize/bronze award-winners.   

Big Bay Bei highlights the importance of mathematics education and honors the brilliance of young mathematicians from all over the world. It is an annual international Olympiad hosted and organized by Olympiad Champion Education Centre (OCEC), in partnership with Math Olympiad’s Training League, Inc. (MOTLI). The online awarding ceremony was streamed on YouTube on May 2, 2021.
