Navarro and Capito win golds for PH in SIMOC

Recent Ateneo de Manila Grade School graduate Magnus Navarro and current grade 6 mathlete AJ Capito (6-Pignatelli) won multiple medal awards for the Philippines in the various categories of the Singapore International Mathematics Olympiad Challenge (SIMOC), which was held virtually on July 24, 2021. Magnus won gold in the Math Olympiad’s grade 6 division, silver in the team-based Math Master Mind, and bronze in Mind Sports. For his part, AJ won gold in Math Master Mind and silver in the Mind Sports grade 5 division.

SIMOC is a mathematics competition for students from grades 2 to 12 which not only tests their ability to solve mathematical problems on pen and paper, but also gives them an opportunity to work as a team with top mathematical talents from around the world while playing interactive mathematical games and solving puzzles.
